Today Olalla is in the news. So far more than 5 acres have burned between Mullenix and Carriage. The latest is that it is almost controlled but they have fire crew and the sherrif dept down here on our road to keep watch as the woods that is near us is part of the DNR forrest that is burning.
PS: I read that the fire burned 10 acres but no homes were damaged.

I'm pleased you were nowhere near that Helaine.. I have to admit my heart skipped a beat when I first heard them mention Olalla on the news but then when they said where I was pretty sure you were safe - fires are scary stuff

We have had a closer call than that with our neighbors home going up in flames while he was taken to the hospital. The area heater was not turned off. Now that was scary since we didn't know he was not in the house at the time of the fire.
I remember that, it had just happened before I came up there the first time, hadn't it?
